Agranik MAKHANA BHEL

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups raw Agranik Makhana (fox nuts)
  • ¼ cup Onions, finely diced
  • ¼ cup Tomatoes, finely diced
  • ¼ cup Cucumbers peeled and finely diced
  • ⅓ cup Dates Tamarind Chutney
  • 2 teaspoons Spicy coriander Chutney
  • 1 teaspoon Chaat Masala
  • 2 tablespoons Fine sev
  • 1 teaspoon Lime Juice
  • 1 tablespoon coriander, chopped
  • Ghee for roasting Agranik  Makhana

 

Instructions:

  1. Roast the Agranik  Makhana in ghee on low flame until crispy, stirring continuously. Let them cool.
  2. Mix the roasted Agranik  Makhana, finely chopped onions, tomatoes, and cucumber in a large bowl.
  3. Add the chutneys and chaat masala and mix well.
  4. Add the sev, coriander, and lime juice. Mix everything well.
  5. Serve immediately, topped with some more sev coriander.

 

Tips:

  • Roast the Agranik  Makhana on a low flame to avoid burning.
  • Serve the bhel immediately to prevent the Agranik Makhana from getting soggy.
  • Adjust the spice and sweetness with the chutneys and chaat masala.
  • Skip adding salt to the Agranik  Makhana while roasting, as the other ingredients have enough salt for the bhel.
